This may be an odd question, does anyone know in what format the voicemail is stored in? Is it .WAV by any chance.

nope.....
it's in an older format. VOX. 6000hz. 16bit. mono
this is per nec. you'll also need cosessions to load the audio file into the vm

Just for reference....
The newest EliteMails are at 6000Hz. The one we have here on our Electra Elite IPK is 4000Hz. It's still an EliteMail card though, just slightly older.
