I'm looking for information on connecting an external battery for an Electra Elite system. The power supply (Murata # MPS2249, NEC P64-U10PSU) appears to have a port for an external lead-acid battery and appears to have a float charging voltage of 27 volts. I believe I need a 24volt cell. I'm wondering whats the maximum amp-hour capacity cell I can install. What does NEC specify as standard? Thank you -Mike

I just purchased a 1000va ups from APC and plugged my phone switch into it. Works great and no hassles! Dave
