Okay, I have a customer who wants to be able to forward all calls directly to his cellphone. He has three lines coming into his system (DS1000). This is to happen without the caller going to the Auto Attendant. He wants to be able to press a button and all incoming calls will go to his cell.

I know how to do this on the Avaya Partner, but am unsure if this is possible on the DS1000 (or 2000 for that matter). Is the key Tandem Trunk, or is there something else?

Have you checked the manual? It can be done.
The COS has to allow "remote Call Forwaed" (program 0101)
The trunks need to have "tandem trunk" enabled (program 1003)
The trunks can't be Key Ring They have to "direct terminate" on his extension. (also program 1003)

Actually the remote call forward option is not used currently. What you have to set in COS 0101 is Off Premise call forward for stations and unsupervised conference for the trunks, plus what was posted above. In addition transfered calls will follow OPCF. Clear as mud?

More or less (I don't currently have a system to play with, so I have to book-research).

I am looking for something similar to program #208 (Line coverage extension) in the Avaya Partner. I have another customer who has the Partner and no VM...this works out for him...

We haven't sold the system yet, and so haven't ordered it, so I can't play around with it. That's where unusual requests get fun (if the NEC can't do it, we can always get him line coverage at the provider level...just wondered if this is possible with the DS1000

And yeah, I have a manual in front of me, and know that I have to set programs 0101: OPCF and ICF, not sure if TT is required if someone gets the AA and dials the extension (isn't it an intercom call then), PSD tells the call where to go, COS and SDB...etc.

I just wanted to know if we can make it so that calls can go automatically to a phone...without be routed to an Auto Attendant...the manual doesn't seem to specifically say anything about that.

Thanks!

CLGjr is right

It is called Off Prem Call Forward (I just called it remote call forward)

I programmed it in a test system here and it does work.

I,ve done this before .In trunk night direct termination point all trunks to one extension .Make sure off premise fwd is turned on for that ext. in cos.Set up a speed dial bin with his cell phone number(use line group 90)when you set up off premise fwd with soft keys press fwd ,off premise, all and the speed dial button.I dont have the manual in front of me so the steps may be different. good luck Jayman
