Hi
DS2000 with 3.22.07 software
Followed all the directions in the manual to enable off premise call forwarding, but still doesnt work
They are in group 90 for getting an open line when they pick up the handset
What I am trying to is this...when night (even after overflow during the day) button is on, goes right to AA as it should
On extension 302 (button 2, unscreened transfer to 302 in AA),i program (ext 302)it for off prem transfer to her cell.
When i dial in...instead of going to her cell, it goes right to her VM box
We have an off premise in the AA (press 1 for their ansering service) and that works fine.
Am i missing something?
any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the timer for the transfer is shorter than the ring time to the AA? Just a guess to look at ---- KLD

Hi thanks for the tips
KLD...the call is transferred to the extension from the AA...which timer do you mean?
dans..yes...tandem trucking is enabled
its funny, because pressing 1 in the auto attendant does a trunk to trunk transfer to their answering company

If you are trying to fwd off premise from the AA then you have to use a Speed Dial bin number. The entry in the Dial Action Table should be somethinng like #225P.

Yes thats how we do it for the call to the answering company..works perfectly.
What we want to do it have calls come into auto attendant "thank you for calling...press 2 for nancy". customer hits 2 and it does an unscreened transfer to extension 302. But since 302 has been forwarded off premise (through PGM on phone), wed like it to push the call to her cell phone.
Ive tried it with a bin 720? and entering it in manually
also tried line and group
no dice.
I hope i explained it well enough..and thanks for the input so far

Another stupid question --- seems on the one we did off prem call forwarding it would not "take" until the power was toggled ---- ????? KLD

I fought one (and several other features on an older release) and called Tech Support. Their reply was "Did you toggle the power --- unplug it from the wall?" Okay, dummy me, what do I have to lose? Gee, it worked! It's the school of hard knocks that teachs us what isn't in the book --- that is how 3.22.07 came into being --- I was the test dummy on that one but Tech Support got right on it, wrote and tested it, sent it out and, gee, it cured the problem. Just hope it flies. KLD

ctmtnbkr,
Is DND on? This might over ride the call forward.
