Hi, I just inherited a ICS 2400, with an OAI computer. This is running some custom apps developed by the previous PBX admin. Now that I'm here I face the following problem:
Every night, the OAI computer checks for a USB dongle (key) and if it can't find it, it would stop running these apps. About 1-2 times a week, it fails to find it when it checks, so when I come in in the morning, I have to get it to re-check until it actually "finds" the dongle and willing to run these apps... Apprently it has always been a problem, not just when I took over. Also, another computer were used for OAI but that also had this problem.

You have a problem here. The 2400 ICS is no longer supported by NEC. Upgrades are available & most of the cards could be used. I would first try your local NEC dealer & see if they can help. If you have a dongle it is probably an NEC program you are running like OpenWorx, BAS or Navigator. A software upgrade for the program would usually fix the issue.

Looks like I'm fine. I was told that the previous computer actually didn't have this problem... but it had other problems, and that's why it was replaced. Now this has this dongle-problem. So I'll just try a different computer.
