Equip:

Electra Elite 48/192.

S1=COI(4)-U10
S2=OPEN
S3=ESI(8)-U10 (new, added to empty slot)
S4=ESI(8)-U10
S5=ESI(8)-U10
S6=ESI(8)-U10
S7=ESI(8)-U10
S8=FMS/VMS(2/4)-U10

Problem:

Added 8 stations to first empty slot(S3). Programmed slot (7-1) successfully. Had stations 100-135, picked up stations 145-152(??). Ran 4-10 to assign stations. Everything looks great.

Went to wiring block (from 2-25 pr out of EE)where stations are linked, logically the next 8 wiring slots should be hot. They are not. My wiring guy has double checked everything and all looks right.

Have rebooted the system and it just seems that nothing is coming out of EE to these slots on the block.

Should I reboot the system with the battery disconnected?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :banana:

Those stations should be coming out of tail#1 pairs 17-24.

also make sure you program the slot 1st before installing the card... if not done as needed.. program it first as none again.. turn the system off and then on.. then do as it is supposed to be

progammed s3 to none. turned off and removed card. Rebooted and programmed to ESI8. turned off installed card, picked up stations 24-31, ran 4-10 assigning stations. Went to wiring block, still no signal. Getting my cable guy to check out P2ii recommendations.

I hate this system, always have.

Make sure the 25 pr tail at connection point into the KSU is pushed in tight. If the bottom is kicked out a little those ports will not come up.

Checked KSU entry point. Everything good and tight. Gave it an extra push. Didn't move any.

I assume on CAR blocks you are referring to 4-41, if so then yes, I have checked that and all extensions have same LK2 as green.

1-2-04 memory block was what I was referring to. Does this system have a PKU expansion chip? If not, you may not have enough ports available.

Scott.
