I was asked by a client if there was a phone made that can Convert Incoming voice on Phone to Txt. Client has very bad hearing but des not want to use a TDD/TTY type phone. Does anyone make something like this? I have looked and looked and have not found anything. Thanks

Shame on you, Justin! That was in VERY bad taste!

My wife is deaf. I was asking because a video relay service is much more effective than the old TTY, and is a much more "functionally equivilant" (FCC term) option than a TTY.

And believe it or not (just an FYI), "Hearing Impaired" is no longer the acceptable term (PC term...even though I hate PC crap). Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing are the terms for today, as they don't have the same negative connotation.

Ok, I can understand that. I think "impaired" seems to sound like you are dealing with a 'room temperature IQ' for want of a better description, no matter what sort of modifier is attatched to the word.
