I'm struggling with setting up SMDR for the 1st time (NEC rookie). I'm trying to connect to a Tel-electronics Inn-Form XL via the ethernet port on the CD-CP00-US. I currently get jibberish to print out when I power up the Inn-Form XL. I do have the SMDR activated in "Feature Activation" under the Communications tab.

Current programming:

10-20-01: 2000
35-01-01: LAN
35-01-03: English
35-03-01: Trunk groups are set to SMDR port "1"
35-01-04: 0
35-01-05: 0
35-01-06: 0
35-01-07: 0
35-02-01: checked
35-02-02: checked
35-02-03: Number
35-02-04: checked
35-02-05: checked
35-02-06: checked
14-01-06: checked on all CO's
15-01-03: checked on all extensions
35-02-08: checked
35-02-09: Number
35-02-10: checked
35-02-17: Account Code
35-02-18: Same Line

Any help is appreciated.

Use a telnet program to see if you are getting smdr on port 2000.

We also set PRG 35.01.06 set to 1 to stop busy and NA calls from registering as O/G calls....

Thanks guys, I was able to get the SMDR out of the phone system to hyper terminal in testing. I ended up needing an IP to Serial converter to be able to communicate between the phone system's LAN port and the call accounting system's Serial port.
