You will need to load DOS or is it already there, just pop it in and it should auto load.

You can download a win 98 startup disk off the net. Put the disk in and make sure the pc boots off the floppy. Then a WIN98 menu will come and ask if you want to start pc with cd rom support . Do this and the put in your win 98 disk. when you get the dos prompt type F: enter, f is your cd drive only used this for example may differ. If the prompt for cd drive type setup.exe Then you should be rockin and rolling! If not you can use the startup disk to f/disk partition and format. If you format the disk it should look like this so system files will get copied FORMAT c: /s

one more thing the disk my be already formatted. If win xp was on there previously it could be NTFS file. Just make it fat32 for win 98!

If it's the full version of 98 it should boot to the CD. Make sure the computer is set to boot to CD first in the bios.
