Well, I just figured out you can't use remote desktop with machines with Vista Home Premium. You can access other machines, but not inbound. So what do you guys use for remote access? I just had ankle surgery and will be laid up for a couple of weeks. I want to set it up so I can have remote desktop access to my home desktop so I can look at my accounting stuff and some other programs while I am sitting on the couch with my laptop.

There is a free version...haven't tried it on A Vista box yet though.

If it were remote access from outside your network, I'd suggest LogMeIn. It would still work, but you're going outside your network, then coming back in.
VNC would probably be the route to go. There are free versions, and it works well. My only gripe, but it's my gripe with a lot of things, is that it's inherently insecure. They may have released a version for free that's secure now, but I admittedly haven't used VNC in quite some time.

I like UltraVNC, I even have it set up so the client can double click a helpdesk icon on the desktop and it shows my laptop they're requesting help.
