You removed the text in his post, but his company info still shows up at the signature.

I apologize if my post was taken as advertising. That was not my intent. I was simply answering the original question: "Now that POS terminals are network compatible, has anyone got a solution for fax machines, etc that could work through the network (internet) in lieu of taking a phone line?"
Since my company offers a product that precisely serves that need, I felt it was relevant to mention it. And since I've seen examples of products being mentioned in other posts, I didn't feel like it was out of line to do so.
I'm very sorry, but I'm also now not clear on what is and isn't appropriate in this forum. I would appreciate if someone could send me a PM explaining how I might have answered the question better, without crossing the "advertising line".

You might start out by using a search engine and point out that your competition has fax to email or internet enabled fax services. They come in stand alone programs like the Electrasoft brand https://www.electrasoft.com/faxcompr.htm or as a service. After you mention those products, then you might be able to say "PM me for a possible alternative". You tell us what you do, and don't specifically advertise or promote your product. Carl

Atleast that was my understanding. Actually the new 'norm' is that a signature can be any color other than black. This shows that it signature was not copied. Also a your printed name is just as valid as your signature. {edited to include link]Here is a link I just found regarding signatures... Link
