We recently purchased an Inter-Tel 612 system on ebay and would like to know what kind of options there are as far as voicemail and/or automated attendant. Can a computer do that? Does a hardware unit need to be purchased? What are my options?

There is an AVT Voice Mail that will work with the system, I do not know if Inter-Tel sells it any more. The 612 is a very old system and was not originally equipped for Voice Mail or AA. I am sure that you could locate a better priced system, with a VM & AA, than what it will cost to add VM & AA to the 612.
