I have a problem with Teleco voicemail. I bought it on the after market and want to install in TOSHIBA DK 424. Unfortunately, It does not have face plate and I cannot identify it. Please help. help
It has 2 com ports in front and green diodes in front. It has a flash card memory, not hard drive.
My suspicion is that it is TIS16 but I am not sure. :bang:

Look on the board, somewhere there is a serial number/letters that will help ID it.

If it is a Teleco with no faceplate it should be TIS16

I lloked on the board. It has no distinctive SN. what I found is that:
Teleco Mars Rev. A.2
2003
On the flash card there is a sticker with a number T01076

Also I was trying to access it through the stratagy admin software with no success: after 4 handshake attempts gives a handshake failed error. I set the bound rate on the voicemail to 9600 and com2 (i assumed it is TIS16 and used its manual to change from 576000)

Any ideas how to solve that?

The Stratagy Admin will not work on a Teleco VM , You need to use hyper terminal

Sounds like a TIS16 series1. It is accessed with Hyperterminal(VT100 57600 8,n,1) The bottom com port is the console port.

Thanks all for help. It solved some problems and exposed others.

I tried to connect to the voicemail with regular windows hyperterminal and that is what I got:

So apparently the software is Perfect Voice Professional InSkin! Version 4.5b. However the response is not what I expected to see - I cannot kake heads and tails out of it nor do not know how to acces options. Do I need any special Hyperterminal Software that will give me some graphic inter phase?

The second question is following: I believe I managed to do all the programming through the phone, and just need to set up call forwarding on busy/non answer. I have toshiba electronic phones. The command is:
<INT>+#604+(N)NN+<SDS>+XX+Redial+SPKR

I have no clue, what is SDS button? Also is the redial a led20?

You have connected just fine, but if you are lost at this point, you should probably call an authorized Teleco dealer local to you, as you could do more damage than good. The 1 or 2 hour service call will save you future headaches.

1. What all changes are you looking to make?

2. The Speed Dial and Redial keys should be programmed on the phone already. Speed dial will show up as a * on the display and the redial a #.

The problem is I cannot find any authorized teleco representatives in Baton Rouge, LA.

The system is generally programmed, the last thing is to forward the incoming calls to voicemail. When I dial internally the voicemail I get greeting, but from outside the voicemail is not picking it up. I think it is the call forwarding setup. Am I Right?

You need to set the lines to be answered by the voicemail(phone system programing) if you want the calls to go straight to voicemail use program 81, 82 is for 12 sec. delay , 83 is for 24 sec delay , 81,82,83 are for day mode. Program 87 for immediate for night mode.
