We're using an Aleen 4 port VM as an autoattendat for a Mitel SX-50 ( MS-55 software )
We're having some issues with the trunks disconnecting in a timely manner.
If a caller hangs up on a call into the Aleen, it takes 8 plus seconds before the port is available again..
Anyone have some thoughts ???
TIA

That is probably normal, since the SX50 doesn't provide calling party control to station ports. Although, if you are integrating through SuperSet ports, I'd expect more like 2-3 seconds to disconnect. You might play with bit 'k', register '3', command '100'. Choice '1' was for the Mitel VX voice mail that integrated through SuperSet ports. Choice '2' just sends a steady tone for 10-12 seconds, as I recall. Just whatever you try, TEST IT A LOT!
