Bryan, if that's not the complete list, I don't think I want to know the rest. My head's already about to explode from just that list. Thanks for the excellent information.

My goodness, Bryan! :bow:
I dont think the code list will ever be complete! laugh

One day, I'll break down and buy me a copy of ANSI Document T1.238-2003 - Structure for the Identification Codes of Telecommunications Facilities for the North American Telecommunications System.

Thanks for providing that ID structuring format also!

So are those only the first 2 letters of the codes?
so HCGS is Access Digital High Capacity, 1.544 Mbps (DS1)...a T1, I am going only off the HC part.
GS is something totally different...

Jeff,
41/HCGS/xxxxxx//SW
The first two letters, in your example "HC" indicates 1.54 Mbps access circuit. A Hi-Cap T1...

The "G" and the "S" operate independently to modify the service code “HC.” Again using your "HC & "GS" example (which is a good one) wink GS= Interstate: The interstate usage is more than 10% interstate as determined by the "PIU" FID, or for Feature Group A services, the "UTNT" FID initially indicated more than 10% interstate usage. Customer/provider interface.

Get that???? eek
Here's a lil' more help:
FID=Field identifier (these work with USOC's which are Universal Service Codes that are placed on the orders.)
PIU=Percent interstate usage

Keep in mind that some codes are applied industry wide, while some may be specific to a particular provider. Example: The codes that I mentioned in my earlier post are standard for Qwest, but may also apply to other providers.
