Is the E911 service something that needs to be enabled on the CO side of a circuit? I am having trouble with a customer with a Toshiba CIX100 that has the PRI, networked with a CIX40 that routes all calls out over the QSIG. I have E911 enabled on the Toshiba systems but when 911 is called from the remote site, it shows the address of the main site. BTW, there is an analog fax line at the remote site and I am attempting to send that number as the CLID for emergency calls. I am trying to verify with the customer what number the 911 operator is receiving just to make sure this isnt a problem with the right number/wrong address thing. There is also 2 remote IP phones off of the main node with the same issue. I did verify my programming with Toshiba tech support so I dont think that is the problem.

Does the PRI provider pass-thru CID info from your KSU or assign the CID itself based on the circuit it's providing? If the carrier doesn't recognize the digits you send, the main site DN is what will appear at the PSAP.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
