I just completed doing my annual inventory and trash removal....
I am amazed at all the 1's and 2's of all the many different kinds of CAT5 jacks from all the different mfgs I have accumalated...
All this adds up to a lot of wasted money on inventory I cant use...HAS ANBODY seem to run into the same situations I am running into???
The same goes for my telecom stuff. Various headsets...wall-mounts...keystrips...etc.etc...
THATS WHY I am now gonna sell just 1 brand of data stuff and 1 line of phone stuff...(NEC DS1000/2000 (cant beat it...)

I use 99% Leviton ,and like you Sell NEC Ds1000,2000 , but I still accumulate an abundance of excess inventory, all keystones are not created equally especially surface mount keystones .I generally use blue Cat5 and white cat3 ,it seems white faceplates are the norm in my area,Which our local Graybar does not stock White faceplates,So I have to order . Graybar here use to have overnight delivery but now it has changed to 3 times per week.Graybar has tried to tell me a keystone is a keystone but, appparently they are not in th field, and Allentel has done a good job on selling them,Allentels quality has improved in the last few years but, I had to replace about 250 of their cat5 jacks in the early 90's and have stuck with Leviton ever since when possible.

Groundstart
Very soon the next release will be coming out for the DS2000/DS1000 (3.20.xx)that will give you dial by name for the voice mail, and a bunch of other new features. Then it really can't be beat. I can't wait.
Added: The intramail will be getting the directory

The ultra mail takes up a slot, which can be pretty valuable real estate in a 4 slot cabinet, and must be programmed with a laptop. The ultra mail goes right on the processor and and the whole thing can be programmed via the phone. Plus it cost less thjan the ultra mail. I was doing STS installs for any one who wanted an inexpensive system with voice mail that needed dial by name. Now that the NEC will have the entry level VM with dial by name it. and it make the DS series the best bang for the buck. I had been doing ACS's but with the cost of a dial by name capable voice mail and the cost of just the processor and carrier, it was not as easy a sell.
