"I couldn't see the stop sign because I was going too fast, your honor!" I've been to traffic court a few times, back in my younger days. Just be polite, state the facts and don't get personal with the officer. Even if the Judge does not throw it out completly, he may reduce the fine and/or take away any points. If you make him mad, he may give you everything plus some court costs. Let us know how it turns out and what excuse you have for blowing the stop sign. ------------------ North Florida Communications

Chance are the officer won't show up and the judge will dismiss. I had to go a few years back for the trial of a fella that did a hit and run on me. During the days procedding probbly 90% of the cases were dropped because the officer that wrote the ticket didn't show. Maybe you'll get lucky and today is his day off, and who wants to sit in court on thier day off without pay?

The only advice I can offer is don't make any more stop sign violation or do your stop sign violation when no one is around. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/biggrin.gif) ------------------ | Need a Telephone | Telephone Installers

In the traffic court system, I have found it works different. Unlike regular criminal and civilian court, you are actually "guilty until proven innocent" in traffic court. I am considering an appeal based on princple and the fact I beleive the judge considered evidence that was not submitted. I will let you all know how it goes.
