I used to collect rare bourbons. At one time I had a nice collection, but in the end all I ended up with was a bunch of empty bottles. My favorite was Pappy Van Winkles Family Reserve (23yo). My current fav is Elijiah Craig 12yo. I rarely indulge in bourbon anymore though, I like it too much.
I once gave up drinking, cigars and went on a diet and in forteen days I lost exactly two weeks!

Believe it or not, I have a mason jar of peach corn liquor I got from a fellow who's family used to be in the moonshine business many generations ago. He goes up into the North Carolina mountains and picks up this stuff as Christmas gifts. I traded him a real of burried drop wire so he could run it to his recording studio (he also has a bluegrass band. Big Supprise). I guess the stuff is about 4 years old now and I would not dare take a sip. It has purple peaches in it like pickeled peaches. I guess some peaches are just more pickeled than others.

Johnny Walker Red Scotch & a splash of H2O; and about any kind of Vodka, sky & kettle one I like best, mixed with diet ice tea. Gotta keep my trim figure. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif) mark

Mark3096-I am from central North Carolina originally. Been in Texas 25 years. On one visit home I had a request from my Texas buddies for moonshine. Got home hooked up with up standing cousins and drove over to the mayor of the little towns house. We went to the trunk of his Ford Victoria and bought 2 mason jars of shine out of a cardboard box. Took them back to Texas. Broke them out for a poker game and proceeded to reverse evolution. Be careful of this stuff as I had an uncle go into convulsions, 10+ units of blood and autosy showed holes the size of nickels and dimes in his esophagus.

One thing we have more of than drunks around here is dead drunks. I personally don't drink. The only thing the guy had to trade me other than his peach corn liquor was his toothless sister. I took the liquor. Anyway, you kind of couldn't have one without the other, but I could put the liquor in the refrigerator and that's where it's gona stay. We're just over the NC line in Upstate SC. Asheville's about an hour away. What part of NC did you come from?
