Then how about a Telrad / Toshiba one? I'm all into seeing people succeed in our business. Oh, by the way, my biggest success story this week is the replacment of a rather large Telrad with an MP5000. They tried the Telrad and did not like it at all and it's coming out. The reason they're going Comdial is because they have one in another plant and they love it. Have standardized all North American locations with Comdial MP5000 so this is the first of possibly 5 systems we'll be doing (with 30 to 100 stations), not counting the one we already have in place. I know they have had their fair share of problems in the past and I'm not one to defend that but when you're down and you pull yourself out of it, you're OK in my book.

Answer this for me so I can get it cleared up once and for all. After the 911 tragedy, Toshiba disapeared from our area overnight. That's a bit odd since Teleco is headquartered in Greenville SC, 20 minutes away. I don't know if you've ever heard of them but they were Toshiba's largest dealer with franchise locations all over the counrty. They're good people here in our town - highly respected. Teleco starts selling NEC Electra Elite and IP instead. Later I talked to a former Toshiba dealer and was told that when 911 happened, Toshiba's dealers were hit as bad as anyone else in this business. However, Toshiba had their dealers on an auto ship program. Now remember that this is not my opinion or a statement of fact. I'm asking. I was told Toshiba refused to make allowances for the tragedy and the bad position the dealers were in and shipped the quota amount automatically and the dealers were not able to return product they could not sell. Did this happen? I would hope not. We all suffered when this happened and I personally consider myself blessed that I am still in business after that. The day those plains hit, they might as well have hit my building because life and business came to a complete stop for months.

And now they give the CTX at Walmart prices with a 750 year warranty. Still hand their tails to them.

Markk I have the Texas Giant here at Six Flags and it doesn't compare to the last 3 years around here. This is my 10th year in business and exclusively as a Comdial Gold dealer until this year I was in selected for the new Direct Dealer Program. Let's see now I nailed a 9 site MP5000 contract today, called on another company wanting 5 site MP5000, doing demo for a 3 site MP5000 Friday. And I'm not B.S.ing one bit. I've already made my quota for the year, think I'll go fishing and get 'runk and take a month off.

Sorry, Mark(s)....I'm just playing with you. I have worked on a couple of Comdials back in early 90's. I was dealing InterTel's back then in upstate New York. Now I'm in Florida and haven't seen more than a couple Comdials in 6 years! Actually, Now I'm a Toshiba fan. Have all of their Certs......

Comdial? All I've done the last year was pull out Comdials. The only one I'm supporting is a DX80 and it is constantly going weird, even with an UPS. Toshiba? There are three systems in the whole area. I used to work for a Toshiba dealer. Today I reinstalled a DK40i for a guy. He has ordered the expansion unit and wants to add CID. The local (KC) used dealer has already charged more then he could have bought a new system for. Then I'm charging for misc. material and labor. But it's his money and he's happy.
