I was wonderin since this forum is full of alot of "old timers", How many of you guy's have knee problems from all the climbin under desks, up poles and ladders, being on your feet all day ect.. I been at it for 18 years and sometimes have a hell of a time gettin up. I'm bettin theirs more than 1 of you guys who had to have surgery.

Go back to the thread about your favorite booze and you'll find how us old timers deal with bad knees. We don't need no stinking surguries(can't afford to take the time off).LOL

I've had problems in recent years with my health but I don't know if it has anything to do with being in the phone business. You see, almost everything I eat causes me to swellup. When I was on the line crew, I wore a size 30 jeans. I swole up so bad I had to start buying 38's.

Started as a Frame attendant in 1970(Framman went away with gender job titles). Still have to work the frame when people are on vacation. What scares me is the ugle calices on my knees from crawling on the floor.

I actually wear jeans that were designed for roofers - they have built-in cushioned knee-pads. They look a bit funky at first, but when I'm working around the house on weekends, I definitely notice the difference!
