Can I ask one more stupid question? Why am I reversing the wht/or and the or/wht. What is this pair, and do I only reverse this one or am I reversing the second pair for every station? I promise, no more stupid questions.

You are reversing the second pair at each station. This is the data pair. The reason is to stop phantom intercom calls and speed dialing while no one is home. They will work both ways, but if you wire them straight you will get the phantom problems sooner or later. I'm just saving you the head ache because it will happen. And by the way no question is stupid, If you don't know you better ask somebody. (thats my motto) Good luck and if you have any problems give me a e-mail. dtmf [This message has been edited by dtmf (edited 08-21-2001).]

A stupid question is the question that's not asked.
