Your friend must have been referring to the average speed in a 35MPH zone. | | | | Joined: Jun 2001 Posts: 10,949 Moderator-Avaya | Moderator-Avaya Joined: Jun 2001 Posts: 10,949 | We have been in the 90 to 100 range now for the last 2 months.
There may have been 3 drops of rain in the same time period. So we are bracing for a very bad fall wild fire season. I think I have mowed my lawn maybe 8 or 10 times this year. It's brown and mostly dirt now.
The local car washes have been shut down for weeks now due to water a water shortage. I haven't seen it this dry here since back in the mid 90's.

I forgot to check the weather, and just go last night instead. I guess it's to be expected around here. Still, the temperature differences from one day, to the other always surprises me around this time of the year. One good thing was the bit of rain we got, at least here in southern Maine. My lawn has been pretty thirsty from the lack of it. I wonder if it'll snow tomorrow... | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 530 Member | Member Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 530 | I agree John I've seen some lower 70's about 5:00 am but it is in the 90's by 9:00 am | | |
