I heard it at least six times in the course of one 10 minute meeting. "We wanted to come by and Reach-Out to you." "My associate will take your concerns about service and Reach-Out to you later." I started looking around for the hidden camera. Surely this is some kind of a joke. How about we'll "call you"? Is there some techno-babble think tank that comes up with these things? I called my account rep later and told here to be careful about using the term too often. I might send other customers like me into a tail spin. I know, get over it richard, it's just a phrase. Still freaks me out. Then I get a call from another big vendor this AM. He's sorry he has not Reached-Out sooner about our past due contract. ....

I crack up everytime I hear it. | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,716 Member | OP Member Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,716 | Those are just cliches. He needs to throw in a Customer Facing references to get on the track to techno-babbleness. But, yes, the over-usage of such is still a problem.

A) It's almost an inside joke unless someone just happens to know what he means.
-and-
B) If you don't know what it means then it comes off as creepy. | | | | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 894 Member | Member Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 894 | well my boss is on a "code 18" kick this week and last week it was Id10t
