Okay, so it's saturday, and I need to add my private line to my new phone. The company that serves our phone system takes way too long to come so I'm asking you guys for professional help. They fax me directions to do certain things and I have directions to do just about everything but this. The manual for our phones says it's for DXP, DXP plus, FXS, and FXT systems. I'm not sure what system we have. I already blanked my private line from my old station but how do I add it to my new station? Thanks a bunch.

What does your cabinet look like? If you can blank your line at your old station you should be able to add it to the new one!

It's a tan thin case on the wall that looks like it's about 2' x 2' and it says comdial on it. The directions they faxed me to blank the line are as follows:
step 1: press INTERCOM *#746*
step 2: enter 56 then 04
step 3: select the corresponding BUTTON to be blanked
step 4: press #, then enter the extension number of the phone you want to blank the number on
step 5: press *, then SPEAKER to get out of the programming

Could your cabinet be light gray? It sound like you have a DSU-II. -enter program as before -dial 56 -dial 02 -select button to program -select line port to be assigned 01=port1 02=port2 etc. this is the physical position the number is connected to. -enter # -enter station # -enter ***
