Well, maybe flat panel monitors will come down, too. Or, I could buy a TV with the VGA input. Although the family would be unhappy that I'm on Sundance while they are missing the latest ET garbage. Ya gotta consider the relative values, there. smile John C.

I think you should buy a flat panel and hang out on Sundance on it. That will really show 'em.

And if there are any questions on how to hook it up, well, Ed's here.

LCD's and plasma's are bound to come down to the level of the CRT's they are replacing.

Matt, most of the bigger flat panels have either a "PC Input" or a "VGA Input" in their spec list. Read both as standard VGA input. And I guess some computers can output a HDMI signal, but someone who pays more attention than me will have to confirm that.
As for 'show 'em', probably not, they ignore me now, and have for years, why would that change! smile John C.

Plasma screens are on their way out. They are heavier than LCD and have a much higher failure rate. Plasma has a better picture overall, but manufacturers are working hard to bring LCD up to snuff.

You will be hard-pressed to find a plasma in a year's time.
