I need to congatulate my beloved Chiefs on:

1. Their second shutout (well, they still have a few minutes left)

2. Not running the ball the wrong way

3. Not wearing their jerseys backwards

4. Managing to get the proper number of players on the field (so far)

5. Not forgetting to break the huddle and get lined up (although they did forget to get at least one play started before the play clock expired)

And, last but not least -

6. Displaying the emptiest stadium I've seen in at least 10 years. I think it was very courteous of them to leave some seats open.

I just arrived home from going to the Redskins/Browns game and am happy to say that the Redskins managed to (barely) pull off a win. After the embarrassing loss to the Rams last weekend, we weren't sure what to expect today. Yes, they did win the game, but in reality it was more a case of losing less than the other team. It's always fun to go to a live game and FedEx Field where the Redskins play is sold out for decades.

Win or lose, people are lining up to pay between $65.00 and over $100.00 a seat, $35.00 for parking, $5.00 for a bottle of water, $8.00 for a beer and get this: New this season, $10.00 for a burger or $13.00 for a double. They tried to make us feel better by making the burger stands "Johnny Rocket's" instead of high school cafeteria food like it used to be.

I sure wish I owned a piece of the Redskins.

It's the same here. Maybe worse, I doubt it, but close. They'll probably put up a toll booth in a few years and start charging just to drive by the thing.

They're renovating the stadium, and when done, it will more closely resemble a mall restaurant environment than a football stadium.

They are also renovating the baseball stadium.

And, doing something they promised they would never do when the tax hikes for stadium improvements passed.... renaming the stadium(s) in honor of a corporation.

Matt, I too am a Chiefs fan..What a fun couple years huh? They need to renovate the dang front office and coach!!! I Think most High School teams down here in La could whoop up on the Chefs this year. How many games can you loose and keep a job in the NFL anyway? Sorry but I think Herm is an Idiot!! and Carl has to go. Just my .02

High School? You are far too generous.... I was thinking more along the lines of a junior high team.

A girls junior high school team.

A boys elementary school team would be a sure bet as well.

I haven't seen anything this bad .... ever. Of course, I didn't start paying attention till they were at least worth watching.... but every cycle has been the same. Strong offense, no defense. Strong defense, no offense. I was hoping they could maybe put together a mediocre defense and offense, but no... now we've switched to the brilliant strategy of a bad offense and a bad defense.

Yep, you're right. Herm and Carl need to pack it up and move on out. But apparently, that ain't happening anytime soon, not as long as they get sellouts. And there has got to be some serious shenanigans going on there, as it was broadcast locally this week and it looked to me like most of the upper tiers were abandonded at the start of the game, with plenty of open seats in the middle and lower tiers as well. I don't know what qualifies as a sold out game anymore.

It's pretty sad really. Used to have some great times at the stadium, but along with the stadium "improvements" have come body searches and heavy political correctness.

Supply and demand will eventually catch up to this pitiful excuse of a team/management, but it's gonna be another 10 years before anything resembeling a team shows up on the field.

I hope I'm not coming across as too harsh...

Matt, there is no hope for the Chiefs as long as Carl Peterson is in charge. He is what has been wrong with the team for far too long. frown

A Huge part of me feels that Hermy is not letting the coaches coach. Look at Gunthers old defense's They were fantastic. Now they just flat our suck and look nothing like what they should. We do have a ton of talent on the field they are just all running around looking stupid. Offense look's exactly like it did when Solari was the man "calling the play's". Clark need to grow up and lay the hammer down.

Quinn did ok while in Jacksonville....but he had an O-line to hide behind! Looks like LJ is on the pine again...should have traded the head case before his stock looked like Dow.
