My neighbour 2 houses down was this 72 year old man retired from working in a cement factory for 40 years we became good friends sharing a cold beer on his front porch,2 weeks ago he started losing his voice we thought it was just a cold
then couple days later his throat was the size of a basket ball, his son and i took him to the hospital wich he was diagnozed with terminal lung cancer, they sent him home until they could get him in for some chimo.I was woken up last night at 3am when his son knocked on my door,
Mr G had taken his life with a rifle in his garage,we sure will miss him.

I'm sorry to hear that Alain. He sounds like some older guys I love to sit with and just listen and learn.

Here's to absent companions. :toast:

I am so sorry to hear this....it is hard to lose someone, especially in this manner. Our thoughts and prayer go your way.

Sorry for your loss. The old timers are class acts. I've learned a great deal about many things from them.

That's awful news. Thank you for counting upon your friends here in your time of need. We can't fix this problem, but we sure do share with you in your mourning for your pal.

Hate it when the older, KNOWLEDGEABLE folks pass on. So much history and useful, learned the hardway, information, and just plain 'smarts', is lost.
But, most of all, you lose a friend. frown Since it's happened to all of us, you know we can really sympathize with your loss. John C.

I'm sorry to. I expect he didn't want to suffer, nor be a burden to those around him. Such a shame as he probably had a mighty hard working hard life. My sympathies.
