I just wanted to thank those involved for releasing the ban on political/religious threads. I will do my part to keep these threads responsible and full of respect.

To me it would be interesting to see what the members do think of this. Please let us know, like it, don't like it, or could care either way. Don't be shy, we do want to know how you feel about these topics.
Thanks for starting this topic.

I think we can discuss these issues without attacking other members.

I think there are a lot of people on these boards who have very interesting, and educational, takes on things political and religious, and otherwise potentially controversial topics. I really enjoy hearing these points of view, whether I agree with them or not.

Any bartender will tell you the 3 things you do not discuss are sex, politics and religion...for a reason….and I 'm sure those same reasons could apply here. Despite members best efforts and intentions to keep things civil these are topics whose ideologies people hold very near and dear to their heart and are defended thusly so... human nature
I personally don’t care for these types of threads and I can always exercise my right to NOT click on a topic…..besides they will more than likely be the personal soapbox threads between a ½ dozen or so of the same members….which is a shame as these will require more time from the mods due to the nature of these types of threads….on the other hand take a look at the thread that Bryan just started…a simple game that in just a few days has grown to over 6 pages, has been participated by many members, not just a few and everyone is having some fun and all with out heavy moderation…what a great idea to start that thread… Anyways, good luck to the mods and admins if you guys decide to open those venue’s, you’ll need it!
Peace

Freedom is a great thing. The rules would not have been loosened without the consent of and input from, the admin/mods.

Well, it looks like 5 for, 1 against, and 1(?). Bet the ratio wont change much, and make me number 6. John C.
