Comdial has a known issue with the new DX80 PCDBA windows based software for programming the DX80 with the F39 chip set. When you load it on certain platforms like XP you get "collating errors" Seems to work on 98 ok. They have a new version in field testing now. I'll keep you posted. mark

Mark: What cable are you using? A guy in my shop had the same issue but I did not. XP laptops. I was at Punchdown's office a month ago and he reported the same thing. I pulled my laptop and cable and it worked OK. I used his cable and got the errors. Turns out his cable didn't show CTS when logging in. Mine did. He used my cable - no problem. Got back to my shop and used my cable (factory DX80 cable) on our problem laptop and the CTS signal showed..problem resolved. Weird. I think I'll have another Southern Comfort after that explanation. LOng shot maybe.....????

It fails without even connecting to the system. It's a code problem in the software. It goes belly up as soon as you try to access one of the program parameters. Mark

Wow that sucks. Definately a different issue than we saw. Keep us updated on that one. BTW I am using the F39 Windows software and haven't found any issues ...yet.
