As rare as 500 sets with the light to illuminate the finger wheel are....is this one really worth the asking price :confused:

I don't think so! That's the same seller who has some very high prices on 1500 and 2500 sets. I think we talked about it before on here.

Looking at the (2) 1500 phones that the seller has listed, I get the impression that they are not original. The face plates are for 2500 series phones. Weren't the 1500 series phones non-modular?

Sometimes when I see an item priced so ridiculously high, I wonder about the mentality behind it.
Perhaps its like the story of a guy who created a widget priced at $1,000,000. When asked how many he hoped to sell at that price, he replied, "I only need to sell one!"
As far as mod and non-mod go - I often used a hand tool to make a modular connector cut out to retrofit the non-mod cases. Of course, that was in the 80's and I wouldn't do it today! But I suspect that practice wasn't very wide spread.
