I found this on my computer desktop. Jennifer is my older daughter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am from... I am from Kansas City, Missouri – a city of barbeque and jazz, of fountains and the Plaza Lights, a city bursting with culture and history. I am from a town where my father grew up, where his parents are buried, and where the locusts sang me to sleep on warm, summer nights. I am from a tiny bungalow in Missouri; a large, historical home in Kansas; and a modern, single-story home in North Carolina. I am from cotton bolls in a Christmas package, which Grammy tumbled down the hill while picking, before she sent them to me. I am from John and Jeannie Cartlich, parents who would do anything for their children – parents who still do just that. I am from Christmas at Mom and Dad's, with barbeque brisket slow-roasting all night Christmas Eve, so Mom can enjoy Christmas morning without having to cook. I am from Dad, who knows everything and can fix anything. I am from Sunday morning church and grace before meals. I am from Kansas State University, ten years late, and Methodist University, not a moment too soon; five years as a kindergarten teacher and many more to come. I am from a fairy tale, a husband, J.D., and our boys – Josh, Ethan, Foster and Gunner – the latter two boys of the four legged variety. I am from the prairie, looking for deer at sundown, from camping and fishing and taking evening strolls through the neighborhood with my family. I am from the unfaltering belief that I am a child of God, and that through His grace, I am saved. Maybe I should have mentioned that Jennifer is 35. And although never arrested or charged with anything, she certainly 'wound her way through life' to get where she is today. Josh is from J.D.s past and Ethan is J.D. and Jennifer's 7 month old. Foster is Jen's 12 year old Aussie Blue Healer that is hale and hearty, though blind for the past 2 years, and Gunner is a 10 month old Boxer that's into EVERYTHING! Had to have a Pacifier surgically removed in July!

Beautifully written. You have every right to be a proud father. My daughter is 36 and has her ways of making me feel like "what ever did I do to deserve such a gift" too.

well i don't i'm cut up for this gold stuff,its going up and down like a yoyo,i hear i will go to 2k per ounce,then you hear it will burst like a bubble i might sell them when i goes to what i paid
but at least i will have pictures of them what i don't get is that i bought them thru canada and they are made from australia go figure
