What set up do you all have?
If you have a thread feel free to link it instead of re-writing it out.


I have a Norstar 616, connected to 250 pair nordex distribution panel.

Also have Ethernet feeding into the distribution so I can punch down either dialtone or highspeed to the jack.

Everything is/has been ran with cat5e CMR UL listed cable. And, they are wired T568A only because the patch cables I re-used were T568A. Everything will be rewired to T568B in the future.

Currently have

6 M7308

all in beige ... except one 7308 which is light grey.

Line pools have been set up, MOH is enabled but I don't have a source hooked up right now.

Also have a few dedicated Ethernet jacks, plan to wire wireless access points, all under the same SSID/password/subnet so I can migrate seamlessly between them as I move to different rooms.

Will probably grab a few wrt-45g's with software >6 so I can easily install DD-wrt and set up a radius server for them.

Currently messing around with esxi running a few vm's (however its allocating/locking more ram then ubuntu with VMware was, so i might go back to vmware or windows 2008 r2 as my host os)

Time Warner Cable internet, Linksys router. My parents have a laptop and a desktop.
Cat 5e runs to the basement and second floor. My dad has an IP phone in his office upstairs connecting back to work.

Verizon DSL 2M/768k, Belken Pre-N Wireless Router w/Custom Software Image and heavy encryption. Five CAT5e home runs to the kid's rooms and office.

I have an eight year old Dell Dimension 2400 with Windows XP Pro that still does everything I need it to. The "My Computer" icon was renamed "mein Këmputer" long ago--the first of hundreds of personal touches that I'd never want to do again on a new computer. Main drive = 40GB, Internal Backup drive = 220GB, External Backup drive = 3TB

Wireless is used for the wife's iPad, Apple TV, my Dell Dimension laptop (when I'm working elsewhere in the house) and file transfers to the iMac. MAC Pro will have a home here soon as well.

KNOPPIX box is stand-alone for now.

I have some Vtech cordless phones in the "house" that my wife picked at BJ's for 29 bucks with a coupon. I have a Polycom Clarity phone on my "office" desk. I have 3 pcs in my office, the one on my desk has two 22 inch monitors. Motorola modem with built in wireless router. There is an SBX on my work bench. I have two laptops (Toshiba, and an Eee Netbook both XP) one droid tablet(Asus Transformer) and one Win 7 Home Premium tablet (Acer Iconia w500).
My wife has a desk in the office with a Compaq running Vista (gag) laptop as well.

We have a Frac T-1 from TDS Metrocom with a Cisco IAD 2400 giving us 1.5 for the internet and 4 lines -- 3 for the voice and 1 for fax. Also we have 1 copper AT&T POTS line dedicated for modem use.
The first line in our hunt group can be taken out using an AB & a ABCD switch to test a Mitel SX200 ML/EL with a Express Messenger Voice Mail, a Comdial DX80 with a 7271B HD voice mail , a Partner Plus with three 206 modules & a Partner Mail VS r 3 , and a Nortel 824 with a Startalk-Mini. One of these days we’d like to get a Toshiba CTX.
For our office system we have an Allworx 6x with six 9212 phones, a 9204, two 9212s as remotes and an Aastra MBU400 IP wireless phone for the house. Every location has a desktop or a laptop. We have a TPLink SG1016 sixteen port switch, a TrendNet 8 port POE switch and a TPLink TL WA501G wireless switch. Our printer is a Brother MFC-J630W fax/copier/scanner printer.

OMG! Diet Coke has way too much carbonated water in it; that really hurt my nose, man.

My office system is an Option 11 with an M2250, 6 2616s and 3 2317s.

My home system is an SL1-ST, 3-tier (CE/PE, CEX/PE & PE/PE). I have a PE/MM shelf, too, but never got the sucker to work. A couple of QCW4 consoles and numerous QSU series sets, expansion modules, etc.

Of course I have a sizable collection of other paraphinalia as well.

1- Big mistake. 1st-most setups in Canada are 568A, not B. Regardless, once you start with one standard use that standard throughout.
2-No such thing as a M7308. Must mean M7208's.

Nortel CICS, multiple M7310, M7208's throughout the house. 3-Lines, 2 business, 1 residential.

High Speed, thanks to cable; DSL sucks in this part of the world. 2 office PC's, multiple hard wired jacks throughout via a 7-port router. (Don't trust wireless).

Laptop in truck as well as hard copies of programming records for all business clients with systems.

2 desktop monitors on workbench for working on PC's. Workbench so full of crapola, I have to use the freezer coming into the basement to bench test & pre-program systems.

Nortel Compact 6x16 setup by freezer for testing telephones after refurbishing/repairing purposes.

2 1/2 rooms of inventory inside house as well as cable, etc in garage.
