Okay, for all you photography buffs that want DSLR performance but hate always carrying around all that gear and weight..check out some new Micro Four Thirds cameras from Panasonic, especially the G3. Lightweight and feature rich, very good image quality, and it even does fast action sports shots almost as good as my Nikon DSLR. You can call it a mini SLR, and it shoots great video too. There are some other offerings as far a compact cameras with interchangeable lenses, but the Micro Four Thirds format has the best range of lenses.

here is a link to a couple sample macro shoots I did..

Nice up close pics. How is it with nature shots? I've been wanting to upgrade and this may be something to look into.

When I first read you post title it reminded me of the old saying: "8/7 of all people have problems with fractions."

I have been looking for something to replace my Minolta SRT-201. Bought used in Alaska in 1976.

I bought a HP 315 back in August 2001. I discovered the pictures are labelled:

IM000001 through IM009999

After that it reverts back to IM000001. I am currently on IM002043 (for the third time).

How does your camera work in low-light?

Low light depends on the lens, but it seems to perform quite well..

nature shots and color seem to be very strong in this format.

for more images try checking out this forum.
