I added new additional stations to an existing system (COMDIAL J1632 system using 8024S phones). The new stations do not display some of the 8 direct lines the older stations have. The tech guys who installed the initial stations are not helpful with regards to reprogramming the new stations or provision of manuals/password. Please help me out with the following:
1) I need to get a default password to get the reprogramming going. 2) Can I handle the programming from station 10 without using a PC connection? 3) Can I do the programming while the system is still runnning without interrupting normal call operations? 5) I am tapping all the new stations from the lower second output port of the J1632 interchange unit since the upper first output port was used up and I hope my problem has nothing to do with this second port. I have read extensively through your earlier postings and I find them educative. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks in anticipation.

As follow up please let me also have details of the programming input if I have to do the line assignment from station 10 or 12. Can remote programming be done by calling into the system and what is the procedure and default mailbox/password for this?
Thank you

The password information you request will not be posted on the open forum for obvious reasons. If you want to do this yourself, instead of paying a certified tech, I suggest you go to the manuals section above and get the necessary manuals to learn the procedure.

Your system can be accessed remotely if a modem is in place connected to the com port.

Most of us charge for the level of support required by an untrained tech, this is how we make our living. You can contact me if your interested.

Thanks Markk. I have gotten all the help I need from an installer in Chicago. The new stations are now able to use all CO lines.
