We have just gotten a contract to service a comdial dxp, but the previous service company took all the software associated with the switch and are now out of business. Is there any way to get the software so that we can service the switch? Any help will be appreciated.

you should be able talk to it with hyperterm or procomm if it is an older version of software. If its a newer version you will need vmmi. You can pull this off the comdial web site if your a dealer and have a password. ------------------ WWW.THEBESTPHONESUPPORT.COM WWW.ABUGSEYEVIEW.COM

We will have to know the software level of your switch. If the DXP is old enough and has not been converted, you should be able to use hyperterminal for all programming.

once you learn what software level you have, you should go to the manuals link above and get a manual for the system. Without the documentation, you'll be on this board everytime you need to do anything on that switch. mark
