An incoming CO call can be answered at the assigned ring station by lifting the handset if answered on the first ring. If waiting untill the second or third ring the CO line button has to be pushed. There is no other stations or auto attendant programmed to ring on CO lines and no call forward no answer destinations programmed. Is this normal? Have I overlooked something?

You mentioned no CallFwd and no NoAns destinations programmed, so is this station a member of a UCD Group? If you only need this particular extension to have CO ringing, try assigning that extension itself to the Answering Position rather than assigning the UCD group with that member station to the Answer Position. UCD with only one member extension would be useful only to make use of call Fwd and NoAns timers, such as a transfer to voicemail if no one picks up.

It doesn't matter if you ring a UCD or an answering position, if it's a ringing phone you have RLP during the entire ring time. I can't think of anything to cause what you describe. I'd first reset the ext. if that doesn't work then do a cold start. Mark

If using a UCD group, and it's rerouting to a second UCD group, it sounds like the extension isn't a member of the second UCD group, which would require that extension to push the line key after the timer has kicked it to the second UCD group.
