Hello -

I need a new/used keypad for a WE 2565HK. Part # seems to be: 35AF3A. The old one was full of nicotine and 25 years of other goo... sadly, it didn't make it through the cleanup process/my fumbling fingers (I tore it completely down; it didn't go back together so easily).

Thanks in advance -
Matt

If you do not intend to equip the 2565 with a speakerphone (either 3- or 4-type) then a 35-type dial from a 2500 set will work.

Use the same lead colors until you run out of leads. The extras in the key set are for use when the phone is on-hook, but using the spkrphn.

If you need all the leads, either for service or just to keep it historically accurate, I can find you a dial in the pile-o-stuff in the barn.

Quick follow up - while swapping in the dial from the 2500, comparing how it was hooked up to the 2500 vs. the 2565 vs. my notes... I noticed I had the black and blue leads reversed. I went ahead and hooked up the pad from the 2500; and it worked great. But I decided I had to know if that was my problem to begin with... put the old original dial I'd torn apart back in again. And it's working fine. So once again.. my lack of attention to detail comes back to bite me.

But it was a valuable learning experience - I'd always wondered why the 2565 had more leads than the 2500.

Thanks again -
Matt
