I'm looking for 1 of these 90 pound boat anchors. Prefer the floor stand type, but will consider the wall mount style. Gonna wire it for 220 and plug it into 110. Will give me + & - 13 VDC at 12 amps for my model trains. If they derail, I'll have to get the remains off the track with a cold chisel, but, beggars can't be choosers, and just think how many locomotives and trolley cars I can run at once! smile John C. Not a clue. These things were nothing more than a huge transfomer, 2 large full wave bridge rectifiers, and 2 5000 or 6000 microfarad, 50 volt electrolytic capacitors about 4 inches in diameter and 8 inches tall, all in a gray cabinet. No electronic regulators or anything else in there. Any lower tech and they'd be batteries! Does that help at all? John C. (Not Garand)

Test-ok, thanks but that's not the boat anchor I'm after. Further info, the ps cabinet is grey and the KSU is black. Long story short, don't ask why, but we put in 11 AFTER they were declared manufacture discontinued about 1982. Sucker was huge, roughly 3 feet by 5 feet, and 18 inches deep! 30/60 expansion added about 20 inches to the top of the 20/40 cabinet! Each station card supported 1 station! Roughly 14 X 14 inches! C.O. cards were about 6 X 14 inches! Every phone was a speaker phone and you could actually have 2 different conversations, 1 speakerphone, 1 handset, at the same time! Supposedly the design was financed by the great state of Mass. as a "make-work" program, in the late '70's. It ran on random lay quad and there was no audio on either pair. Maybe the 1st fully digital system to be deployed, about 1978? And DO NOT ask about crosstalk trouble shooting! frown John C. (Not Garand)
