I am looking for some 2 conductor wire, preferrably with a black or gray PVC coating. My local guys only have red alarm wire. Looking for about 500-1000 ft. Anyone have any or know where to buy. Google doesn't come up with much.

West Penn Wire, Coleman, all of the normal brands make 22 gauge, 1 pair stranded wire. Heck that's all most alarm guys seem to use. I've seen it in coils and boxes in all colors.

Another place I would suggest is Windy City Wire out of Chicago

Try Teledata Express. Their part #154652 is gray, but it is 18 gauge.

Solid. I need to make some switch tails for some digital phones coming off RJ 45 connectors, terminate on a 110 block.

If you want to go a more expensive route and use a factory solution, look for Siemon's 8P8C to 110 cables. They have them available in different pair counts. I've also gotten these through Graybar from an independent custom cable manufacturer for less money than Siemon.

Couldn't you just use a piece of 25 pair with plugs crimped on the end?

it has to be super clean, and the plugs don't match up with the 25 pair. Some cards are 8 port, some 16 and 30.

Have you checked Express Communications? https://www.expcomm.com (posting the link because they're not the easiest site to find if you're just trying different URL's).

Don't get stuck on the specific manufacturer names. You may find something designed for another purpose that works for you. Their products are not built so exact that they fit the specific manufacturer's product to a tee, so you might find something that works just by looking around their site.

Express isn't, apparently, but it appears that new company bought their business, patents, etc.

Someone referred me back to Teledata Express. They had 2 pair which worked quite well. Thanks for the input.
