Anybody have a sound file or know the frequencies of the PBX "error" tone (hi-lo-hi-lo-hi-lo), like what you'd hear on an old Dimension or Rolm system? Need a sound effect for a video project I'm doing.....I used to be able to get it by dialing *9696 from an old analog cell-phone, but I have no service on it now.

Maybe you could record a tone generator?

MrGemini-- I would like to do that. Im fact, that is probably the best solution, but I do not know the frequencies of the tones.

Spuds--I've browsed that site before and don't recall seeing it..but that was a while ago, so I will check it out again.

Nope, not there. Though the "Please deposit 9 trillion, 999 billion, 9 thousand dollars and 7 cents" recording was great.

found it. I was referring to a "turkey" tone. Someone told me that Partner systems use this for vacant ports and off hook. Can anybody confirm this?
