I have a dsu2 with VPP voice mail. They want line 7 to ring 4 phones then goto the voice mail box of 21. I can't get it to goto mailbox 21 it goes to vm then wants to ring 21. any way to get it to go straight to vm of 21

You're going to have to make 21 a no transfer box or make modifications in the trans.xxx file to accomplish that.

what do I put in the trans.xxx will that mess up her other normal operation to that mailbox? and there's no way to copy messages in this old vm is there if I setup a phantom mailbox. She won't be able to tell if there is messages in it right

It will if you don't do it right, read the section of the manual that explains the trans.txt file. It's to complicated to try to explain here.

couldnt you also have the vmail line id in the ksu set to 21. then set the vm box 21 as no transfer? instead of doing tns.txt manip?

Al makes a good point. Let me see if I can enhance his suggestion. Try setting the voicemail line ID as 212 in the DSU, and leaving the mailbox transfer type as it was. Depending on what's currently in the trans.xxx, that may be all you need. I believe there is a default translation for xx2 in the trans.xxx file.

Please let us know how this turns out.

I just set the vmail line id to 21 then 21 to no transfer, It's working fine for now maybe when I am back on site I will try 212. Thanks again
