Has anyone had problems installing The Comdial DX120 on the old 25 pr cable. The runs are not that long and in conduit that we are unable to pull out. Rented space and owner refuses any exposed wiring or conduits. Me thinks we may just turn away from this.Any help;Ideas etc.

I don't know why you would have issues, as long as they are direct runs, the pairs are balanced, the cables are in decent condition, and there is nothing that might introduce interference onto the cable. Just because it's old doesn't make it worthless.

I also agree. We have many DX80 & DX120 systems out there on old, existing 25pr cable, and they are doing just fine. You may have to be a bit inventive so that no wiring is exposed, but that shouldn't be that much of a problem.

Not sure if my imput would stand up against the others here , but I have never had a problem with any exsisting 25pr cable runs. I was always glad to see them to help in the new install. Just be creative in your install and all should go well.

I wouldn't hesitate to use old 25 pr. Never had an issue.
