Hello All,

Had a system go down at work. Replaced it with a Samsung Prostar 816H system. Handsets work (power up) and can do incoming/outgoing calls.

However there is NO RINGING to indicate incoming calls, line lite flashes only.

Do not have manuals, sort of understand how to program. I think I need to proram system to "Unconditional" ring. How do I do that.

1 STATION SHOULD RING IN DEFAULT
FOR OTHERS YOU HAVE TO TURN ON PROGRAMMING IN #20 ON DISPLAY SET
1-#20
2- 1-2-3-4-1
3- # KEY THAT OPENS PROGRAMING
THEN #62 -DIS PLAY SAYS DAY RING AASN
4-PRESS CO LINE THAT YOU WANT TO RING
5- PRESS DSS BUTTONS AND LIGHT BUTTON OF PHONES YOU WANT TO RING
6- PRESS #
7 #62 THEN NEXT CO AND REPEAT FOR ALL LINES

USUALLY UP TO 8 PHONES CAN RING \
B4 YOU DO ANY PROGRAMMING MAKE SURE BATTERY JUMPER/SWITCH IS ON ON MOTHER BOARD /LOWER RIGHT

Hi Everyone,

Wow....You gotta love the info now a days that is just a few clicks away!

We have a Prostar 816H, and this morning none of the phones would ring. Looks like the power was down this weekend for 5 hours, and our back-up battery "aint what she used to be"

The instructions provided by KENB were perfect!

Is there a pdf ver of the manual for this switch anywhere?

The manual in pdf form I dont know about but the link above here has the manuals or you can order them thru samsung I think the still have them
