I'm an infrastrucutre engineer with some voice/telephony expierence mostly with VOIP and SIP, but I'm looking to migrate an exisitng KEY Voice VP System 8.2 from older hardware to a brand new box b/c the old box is failing.
I have the installation guide and everything appears fairly straightforward, but I cannot locate anything in regards to exporting the configuration, current voicemail db or migrating to a new box.
Has anyone had a succesful migration for this system keeping the config and vm's intact or is a fresh install and config the only option.

You might want to get your hands on the Installation and Maintenance manual. It contains instructions for backup and restore.

And you have to have an ISA slot for the voice board.

I would rebuild the old PC. I keep a few on hand for customers with service contracts.
In addition to needing ISA slots for the voice board(s) you need to have a parallel port for the software key. We also had to clock down the processor speed to properly run DOS on newer PC's
