Prostar DCS with expansion cabinet, hotel/motel package and the DLI cards not working in ysstem

CAB 1. PSU60, DLI, DLI, 8SLI, 8SLI, 8SLI, 8SLI, EXPAN A, ROM
CAB 2, PSU60, 8SLI, 8SLI, TRKA-1, TRKC-1, Cadence VM8A, Slot 6&7 Blank, EXPANB.

Single line phones work fine. Digital phones display VER 1.3. I am unable to get in programming or do anything with digital sets.
Tested DLI cards back at the shop and they are good. Checked fuses and they are good. There was lightning in the area when this happened.

Deleted older post, this is the same as the one deleted except the header is more detailed.

Did you check the voltages on the supplies?

I would simplify this as much as possible right now.Disconnect the second cabinet remove everything from the first cabinet except for the ROM card and a DLI card and a Power supply.See if that comes up ok.If it does start adding cards in until you get the first cabinet fully up or if something takes the dli ports back down. Then try the SLI cards, expansion card and then the second cabinet.
If you can't get it to run with the very basics, you may have to resort to a default programming and try that.Hopefully you have a backup on a pc somewhere.

Put in a good PSU and no change. Installed DLI cards in 6-7 slots of the expansion cabinet and they sorta came up. No station names, could only access one trunk out. Could make programming changes in the customer side of programming but was unable to access technician programming due unknown password.

Greg,
Did you try what I suggested?
It sounds like the DLI cards in the expansion cabinet were working ok.If these were newly installed cards then there would probably be no station name or extension number. You're going to have problems if you don't have the technician passcode.

They want prices on a new switch before we go back out. I will keep you posted.

Thanks PVJ. Powered her down and went with just PCU60, DLI and ROM1 card. Everything came up good. Went through installing all others one at a time and it was the first 8SLI card in CAB 1. Still can’t access technician level due to unknown code but at least the switch is back up.

Glad to hear you got it working again.I've had the same problem before in a system and it was a DLI card that was taking the system down.If you're an authorized dealer you can get a code from Samsung to get into the programming.
