HI! Techs , This is the Scoop, i had moved someone elses Samsung Dcs Compact last year ,1 yr. later their were 2 telephones whose display was acting up not showing right time date, then eventually the one telephones display stopped working 24b set. And 2 sets caller id didn't work because they weren't programmed to ring, so i made a sevice call, found 1 24b set bad diplay, replaced with a 12b and programmed x204 and 205 for caller id mmc119, 314, 414 etc programmed ring group the 2 phones DISPLAY sayS :Call to 501 All Phones, i SEE THE 3 OTHER PHONES 201,202 AND 203 CALLER ID WORKS, I SEE A RAM2 IN SYSTEM, I SEE VERSION 1.3 WHEN I PLUG PHONE IN TO JACK IS THAT THE VERSION OF SOFTWARE? THEY GETTING READY TO CLOSE SO I,M GOING HAVE RETURN, I DIDN'T ORIGINALLY INSTALL THIS SO I 'M WONDERING IF SOMEONE HAS TRIED TO ADD CALLER ID WITHOUT UPGRADING EPROMS, I WILL HAVE TO CHECK WHICH MISCELLANIOUS CARD , IT IS STRANGE THAT 3 TELEPHONES HAVE CALLER ID, ANY HELP WOULD BE SWEET!!THANKS

The version you see on the phone is the phone version. You need to go to mmc 727 to see the system version. It must have a misc 2 card and software must be 2.4 (CID) or above. There will be 4 EPROMS and they will have (CID) displayed on them if it is cid software.

Hi! I guess regardless what software version it is it is working on three telephones whatever version it is, just odd , but i guess if it isn't the right version it may be problematic.

If it is the wrong version it won't work at all. Check MMC 312. Make sure all are allowed CID.

YAA! Double checked all the programs including 312, i rebooted the system unplugged the cards re installed, I think this system has bug . Will check next week. Thanks
