That is exactly what I did, but the extention of the phone near the DSS is 300 not 110 or 111. Those 2 extensions are in classrooms on the other side of the school. And they just have the small analog phone. That is why I asked about changing ext numbers. It made all the beep as descibed in the manual, but no change to the ext.

OK, I did some looking and you can change the 3 digit code for the stations in the System COS Programming, you can set them to 100-399. Completely forgot about that optional program as I never had anyone ask me to do it. You need to find out what the station number is that you want to program and you should be good.

My bad, sorry for the confusion, been a long time sense I messed with one of them old beasts.

No worries,

Thanks Russ. I will have to tone it out and see what port it is on.

So is it possible that the programming ext is actually 300, but hooked to port 10 or 11?

I don't want to return unless I am pretty sure about all this. It's 60 miles one way.

Yes the station port will stay the same.

Example:
Station Port 42 is set to be Ext 305

In station cos programming you would use 042

I'm going to PM you my phone and cell in case you need me, 120 miles is no fun if you don't get it done.
