This is probably an obvious question (dumb) but here goes: as far as the install, it appears that you are using the pc as the phone but it mentions keyset several times through the course but I try never to assume anything is this correct? and if so do you just attach a headset to the pc? Also, do you connect to the LAN port on the MP10 to their network or do you have to install the 4SWM on the MP10. Yikes do I miss regular old Telephone systems.
Thanks for any info | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 4,096 Member | Member Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 4,096 | Wow I am glad your testing on the equipment. Thats always good to hear.
Why are you asking us a test question. I for one think you should pass a test on your own steam. So the only hint I will give you is "its the same for all systems when you install call.
Other than that good luck on your test. :thumb: | | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 7 Member | Member Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 7 | thats actually not a test question. no u still use your keyset like normal it just allows u to go into outlook and u can double click on a phone number in your contacts and your keyset will hop on speakerphone and dial the number. also when a call rings your phone u will see a little pop up box in the bottom right corner of your co,puter screen and u can answer calls by clicking on it. and lots of other little bells and whistles. u can certainly use a headset if u dont want everything to be on speakerphone but the headset would need to be hanging off the phone not the pc. and yes the lan port on the mp 10 needs to be connected to their network. | | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 7 Member | Member Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 7 | i miss the tip and rng days as well | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 318 Member | OP Member Joined: May 2004 Posts: 318 | Well,it sounds like I offended you there Mr. Richey but thanks for the reply anyway. By the way I've been working on Phone systems since 1989 and Samsung since 95 I'm just new to all this CTI Stuff (and yes I know it's been around awhile) I just never had to put it into practice. But again thanks for the reply.
Chris Z: Thank you and you're right it wasn't a test question, it wasn't even brought up in the course. Again, never had to mess with CTI before, a hands on course would have been more informative, but you do what you got to do. Thanks again for you response. | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 4,096 Member | Member Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 4,096 | Originally posted by Barrontel: Hi all, I'm currently in the process of taking the officeserve call course online after just completing the 7100 course. Thanks for any info First off you didnt offend me. I just dont agree with supplying answers to questions while you are testing. The assumption from your quote above leads to a question about something your testing on. As for the question not being on the test I would not know, I tested out some time back and would assume they would atleast change up the questions from time to time. Need I add a to all of my comments so that you dont read something that does not exist into a statement? I am glad you stuck it out with Samsung for so long. Welcome to the club. Chris: The TIP and RING days are still here. They are just done via a new product that does not need a 66 block | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 318 Member | OP Member Joined: May 2004 Posts: 318 | No problem, I wasn't taking the test, just trying to figure out how it all connected, the downside of online courses is that you can't raise your hand and ask the instructor a question at 11:00 pm. I called the training dept this morning and they explained how it all went together. | | | Forums95 Topics94,282 Posts639,048 Members49,425 | Most Online5,661 May 23rd, 2018 | |
