To change the main greeting you need to go into admin programming by pressing your message key, hitting *#the admin box number, then XXXX. XXXX= the password. Press one to edit system prompts. Enter the prompt number, LISTEN to the prompt to make sure its the one you need to rerecord. If so press 3 and do your thing.

A piece of advise if I may. find an empty room and shut the door when recording. The prompt you may need is 1001 for day and 1002 for night.

I'm having a very similar problem, we have a very simple system consisting of 9 lines. I can get into the admin programming fine, and I set the daytime greeting and confirm it, then manually set the voice mail to daytime mode.

Our system is setup without auto attendant (that I know of) and the stations all ring with each call (we often have only 1 or 2 people in the office at a time), however after no one answers a mystery greeting we recorded years ago is playing, rather then our daytime greeting.

I know the mail box number that the messages are going into but I can't locate where this particular greeting is coming from. Any help is appreciated.

Accidental: You need to locate the greeting by number and rerecord it.

Ritztech: To answer your last question yes you can
